would like to thank the following
marinas and boatyards for allowing qualified, insured marine contractors to operate in
their facilities:
| Allen Harbor Marina - Davisville | Bannister's Wharf |
| Bristol Marine | Bristol Yacht Club |
| Brown & Howard Wharf Marina - Newport | Goat Island Marina - Newport |
| New England Boatworks - Portsmouth | Newport Harbor Hotel & Marina |
| Newport Marina | Norton's Shipyard and Marina - E. Greenwich |
| Wickford Marina | |
There's a trend today for marinas to make it very difficult if not impossible for independent marine services to operate on their premises. We believe that a boat owner should have the option to choose who works on their boat.

***IMPORTANT***
UPDATE 03/18/10: Bill H7487 (introduced in the Rhode Island General Assembly on 2/11/10 that will give you a specific law to allow you to hire the company of your choice to work on your boat) was heard before the House Judiciary Committee last night. Testimony was given by those in support of and in opposition to this bill. Be sure to check with Capitol TV scheduling to view it when it is re-broadcast. We urge you to contact your Representative, or if you live out of state, contact the Representative for the district your boat is in, and tell them that you want to decide who works on your boat and to get this bill passed. Click here for the text of H7487 and do your part to affirm YOUR rights as a boat owner. Click here to view information for Representatives.
